You’ve probably heard by know that on Friday November 30th things started shaking up here. We were hit with a 7.0 earthquake. The largest quake to hit Alaska in over 50 years. As I type this, we are still assessing some of the damage. We thank the Lord that our home is still structurally sound and our damage was pretty minimal. Many bookcases were knocked over, shelves were moved, a dresser fell over, a keyboard was knocked over, and the kitchen cabinets all swung open and emptied their contents onto the floor. We lost a lot of dishes and glassware, a printer, a stereo that I was getting ready to install in the truck, a bass guitar that had items fall on it, etc. However, in the grand scheme of things we consider ourselves blessed. We are all safe. The house has heat, running water, and electricity and what was damaged can be replaced. We have had over 300 aftershocks so we are almost immune now to the shaking that is still going on. Thanks so much for your concern and your prayers.
